My Opinion - Clinton & the Starr Report

( or My 2 ¢)

 

I've had it up to my eyes with all the crap about Clinton - Monica - Starr. I'll probably get a lot of negative feedback, but this is what I think.

 

Yes, President Clinton lied to us about an affair. Yes, it was wrong. But would he have lied if he had not been asked about something which wasNONE of our business? NO!

 

It has been said Monica was taken advantage of. BULLSHIT! She admits flirting with him for weeks. She also admitted to implying she would reveal their affair if he didn't keep seeing her. Isn't that a form of blackmail? Youbetcha! Her ass should go to jail, and any publisher or movie studio that gives her money for her story should be boycotted!!!

 

Ken Starr??? Hey, give ME $40 million and I can dig up dirt on anyone, including Ken! The man has had it in for Clinton from day one, and he can't convince me otherwise. People are mad about Clinton wasting money. Ken Starr is the one that kept this whole thing going for all this time, and I consider what he's done as a GROSS misuse of his office! I'd like to see Mr. Starr end up panhandling on 42nd Street. He's done this country NO FAVORS, has the common sense of a jackass, and should get off his moralhighhorse and crawl back under his rock.

 

Mrs. Clinton? As someone who's also been lied to and cheated on, part of me feels sorry for her. As an adult with common sense, I feel she's just as much to blame for enabling her husband to cavort all these years. If he's got a problem keeping his zipper up, she should have threatened to &/or left him years ago.

 

As a Hoosier, Dan Burton embarrasses me all to Hell! At least Clinton didn't father a child during an affair, then throw stones at others. Maybe YOU should resign, DAN! Or at least do us a favor and move to another country.

 

I find it ridiculous for some people to say President Clinton should resign or be impeached when all this started over an affair. We didn't impeach Reagan for lying about the Iran-Contra Affair. How is it "they" can consider lies about sex more wrong than lies that had to do with our country, our troops, millions of taxpayer dollars, and "Life or Death"!!!

 

I think everyone, especially the Press, should shut up and let President Clinton finish his term. He's not the first man in the White House to have an extramarital affair, and he probably won't be the last. Maybe we've had better presidents, but we've also had worse! And a lot of them have had "zipper" problems!

To the Republicans that think we don't notice what they are trying to pull, you CAN'T have it both ways. First, you try to say that you can't follow popular belief and let the President off easy, but that you have to follow the U.S. Constitution. But then, you want to release all the documents and tape to show the American people what our President has done. If our feelings weren't supposed to influence you, then why show us all that stuff? I'll tell you. It was just an excuse to try to smear the President and the whole Democratic Party. Well, as you can see by the elections, you only succeeded in showing us how petty and low you can sink to try to get a vote! (Notice I said "sink". That means I gave them credit for NOT being that low to start with.) And yes, there were some Democrats that sunk to that level, and I voted against them for THAT reason alone! I don't trust anyone who uses smear tactics to get a vote.

 

What will they do to stay in their elected offices?  Another "WATERGATE"???
